Our Mission

The Douglas Public Library is a customer-service focused, technologically advanced, essential part of the Douglas community. We strive to provide enhanced quality of life through diverse, bilingual resources, advanced technology, and by fulfilling the educational, cultural, and leisure time activities of the residents of Douglas and the surrounding communities.


Welcome to the Douglas, AZ Public Library. We operate in the city of Douglas as part of the Cochise County Library system. Here are the primary services offered at our library:
  • Books, eBooks, audiobooks, videos, audiocassettes, compact disks, magazines, and newspapers
  • Spanish materials
  • Copy machine ($.10 per copy)
  • Public computers with internet access
  • Open WiFi connection
  • Interlibrary loans
  • Electronically equipped conference and meeting rooms

Programs & Events
Summer Reading Program  Hours:
  • Children’s Summer Reading Program- Mondays & Wednesdays Ages 5-9 1pm-3pm, Mondays & Wednesdays Ages 9-12 3pm-5pm, Thursdays 10:15am-All Ages
  • Teen Summer Reading Program-Teen Summer Reading Program Kick Off-James the Juggler-June 23 6p-7pm for teens & 7pm-8pm for public,  Mondays & Wednesdays Ages 13-18 6pm-8pm
  • Friends of the Library Book Sale-Monday, June 23 to Saturday, June 28 Buck-A-Bag-Fill up a bag full of items and pay a dollar
